The Differences Between the Two Shredder Types

To understand why huge offices need industrial paper shredders for their office shredding needs and why some smaller offices can simply use home paper shredders for their shredding requirements, here are a few things about these two different types of shredders:
• Industrial Paper Shredders. These shredders are also called commercial shredders and are capable of shredding a huge number of documents at one time, around 400 sheets in a pass, which makes the shredding of a lot of documents easier and faster. These gigantic machines are ideal for huge companies that have a lot of documents to get rid of and need to keep away from the eyes of other people.
• Home or Small Office Paper Shredders. These shredders are used in small offices and at home where people have very little paper to destroy or documents to shred. Usually, the most number of papers that can be destroyed by this type of a paper shredder at one time is 20 sheets, depending on the type and model shredder they have, and there are even times when this can cause the shredder to jam.
